Goosnargh

Posted by spblat on February 2, 2002 12:39 PM

I always get puzzled looks when I say "goosnargh" to people. It's a handy word! Douglas Adams coined it in his fourth Hitchhiker book, appropriating it from a much more boring use as the name of a small town in Lancashire, England.

"'Goosnargh,' said Ford Prefect, which was a special Betelgeusian word he used when he knew he should say something but didn't know what it should be."
