Not that it's a particularly interesting story (it's not) nor a particularly spectacular cover (it's not), but the photo credits in fine print under the table of contents struck me. COVER: Photograph by Wolfgang Ludes for NEWSWEEK, food styling by Joyce Dorazio, hair by Jeff Francis, makeup by Mariel Barrera, manicure by Olga Titova. Food styling? There's a new one. Come to think of it, I bet Joyce does all sorts of interesting things at photo shoots, like arranging the leaves on a strawberry just so, and assembling the world's most photogenic Big Macs, and making sure the lettuce is spritzed just so before it's... Anyways. The other thing that was weird is that everybody gets credit for the photo. Well, almost everyone: food stylist, makeup, nails, hair--everyone but the model! Doesn't she contribute the most important part of the photo? The face in that picture of a face about to eat a perfectly-styled strawberry clasped between those lovely nails? Hair?
