The actuator that was pushing the ball out to the trough was sticky--wasn't retracting in time to keep the game going. I took the assembly off the playfield, disassembled it, cleaned the greasy gunk off the bracket hinge pin, made sure there was no mushrooming on the coil stop, reassembled, and voila!
