There's a piece of sheet metal that guides the ball out when it gets pushed out by the ball release. I bent it down just a smidge, and the ball no longer bounces back from the rubber post into the release hole. That was an annoying one, to see the ball bounce out into the trough, then back right where it came from, and again...and again...
