Got my flipper opto boards from PB Liz yesterday, and got 'em installed today. After taking both old ones out and putting the first replacement in, I was quite concerned to find that nothing worked. My earlier staple test failed, the old opto boards (which used to sort of work) didn't work at all, and I was furiously testing fuses and wondering what on earth I was going to do. Then I read in my TZ manual that unless both boards are in, nothing works, because they complete a circuit together.
Got 'em both installed, and voila! Working flippers.
